My First Photojournalism Assignment

About me) I am a student at Linn Benton community college, looking to not only obtain my associates degree but also figure out what I want to do for work in life. I took this class because it was by far the most appealing option I had. I would also like to learn more about myself in this class, as I have always thought photography would be something I very much enjoy.
My goals) My goal in this class is to not only learn more about taking good photos, but also explore something that has always been interesting to me; photography.
LBCC photo) I feel taking photos for the baseball team and interviewing players after the game would make for a quality subject
3 Ideas) Taking pictures of staff and talking about their classes and field of expertise. Also taking pictures of the baseball team would be a good idea, but most of all taking nice pictures of the campus that a lot of people say isn't very nice.

Week 6 forum

For my action shot is going to be volleyball players training for a sand volleyball tournament that is coming up. The school has nice sand volleyball courts on campus so preferably when they have practice and the weather is nice. I am really worried that i will have a nice angle, lighting and picture but that i won't be able to capture it as clearly as I want to. I'll try various settings on the camera to try and get it right. For the overall I want to get a shot of the entire game, while the medium I want to get one person being the focus but also have the other players in the background. For my closeup I want to get a shot of somebody hitting the ball or approaching a spike because I feel that is the slam dunk or home run equivalent but in volleyball.

Week 2 Humans of LBCC

Haley King  Haley King is a full time student at Linn-Benton Community college. She came here so she could easily transfer to her dream school, Oregon State University. She wants to major in psychology and eventually go on and work for a non profit organization, helping others anyway she can as that is what she is passionate about in life. Haley is from Vancouver, Washington and moved to Oregon to attend school. She loves Oregon and Washington but she said her dream would be to live in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.    Mason Lux Mason Lux is an Environmental science major who plans to transfer from Linn Benton Community College to Oregon State University.
